I would recommend anything from the Fromm Gold Line, its rated four stars on Dog Food Analysis and is reasonably priced.
The company has been family owned for four or five generations and has never had a recall.
We are feeding our Standard Poodle pup Fromm Large Breed Puppy and a small local store that carries high quality feed sells it for $24.99 for 15lbs.
This is about the same price as Purina 1 Large Breed Puppy from Pet Smart but the Purina only rates 1 star on the same site.
Many of the brands you see at your vet with familiar names are very poorly rated food so check them out before feeding.
Learn to read the labels, Corn, Corn Gluten, By Products and Meats that aren't named should be avoided.
