There are farmers that skimp on fertilizer and make 10 1500 Lb rolls on 10 acres of grass spring hay here in central Ky. Then you have the good farmers that fertilize and lime every year according to soil tests performed that get 40 big rolls of 10 acres. The wear and tear on the tractor and harvesting tools stays at a constant level either way. Ken Sweet
