Do You Have a Tractor Shed/Barn?

Mine’s a real POS compared to some of you guys. Roof leaks, dirt floor, rotted posts & purlins, but somehow I manage to make over 1000 tons of hay, clear many acres of woods, cut hundreds of acres of lawns & fields.

I’d love to have some of the Taj Mahal shops you guys have.

I store my tractor in the the attached 3.5 car garage and implements are in the pole barn

Haydude, that’s because your shop is a working farm shop. A lot of peoples shops, mine included, is more of a place to store our cool cars and only fix things we feel like fixing.

I am hoping that I can fit lots of stuff in my tractor shed this winter, (5) tractors, my pickup truck, suv, wife’s mini-van, my field car (Dodge Durango), truck camper, boat, canoe, bush-hog, corn planter, wood-splitter, (3) bikes and (24) face cords of firewood.

We usually get lots of snow and I don’t like leaving that stuff outside. It will be pretty tight, but I think I can do it.

I'm in the process of building one right now. 16x12 with just a shed roof to keep the rain but mostly snow off my tractors.

For you guys thinking about building a pole barn, one thing to remember is the larger you make it, the cheaper it is per square foot. I had a 40x60 built for 40k and my brother had a 28x32 built for 25k. Same company.

I'll admit my barn is pristine because it's for light maintenance, storage, wood working and honey bottling. For the latter reason it's kept very clean and neat. Dust collectors keep the wood working issues resolved.

No matter how big you make your building, make it bigger and it will still not be big enough, there are times I believe if I had a full acre under roof I would still need more.
