Do you have a drone?

. Like me, neither my neighbor to the north or south have time for such foolishness.

Because all hobbies are foolishness.... like surfing a tractor board night after night.

A couple months ago I found a local township park where they let folks set up a race course for drones. Part woods and part field. Flags and ribbon. Kinda neat to watch. Two guys sitting in chairs with headsets on watching through the cameras of their drones. I was very impressed with how fast they were racing. It reminded me of the pod races in Star Wars! Insane scale speeds. I also watched one tag a tree! SPLAT!!!

That's exactly what these guys were doing in the park through the woods. Looks like fun.

We have a DJI Phantom III Advanced. Used a label maker to put the FAA number and my name and phone #, though I seldom fly it anywhere except over my property or the ocean. Just love the change in perspective you can get, but my first use was to inspect the roof!

Bothering livestock would be a great reason to take one out. Not too keen on the invasion of privacy aspect of the hobby either. I would certainly be tempted to take one out if I felt my privacy was being violated, so I intend to be very careful not to let that happen.
Makes perfect sense! Drive around with a cell phone that announces your location (and has been data-mined by NSA) , in a car with black box recorders and an EZPass that logs your presence. Under US government satellites that can read your license plate from 100 miles up, that also have IR, radar and other sensors. And government drones are flown over the US by a number of agencies.(The Federal Government's Domestic Drone-Surveillance Programs)

...And then worry about the invasion of privacy of a private drone with max flight time of 20 minutes, range of a few hundred yards, that makes noise and can't see or fly at night, in rain, or high winds.

I guess I should start shooting at any neighbors who own binoculars! I'd bet that 99% of the people who post comments like above have never once seen a drone.

Just stand in the window au naturall.... that'll stop it.
You can't "unsee."

Seriously, if someone is worried about hobby drones they've got to ask themselves, "I know I'm paranoid, but am I paranoid enough?":laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing::laughing:
