I wish you luck LC. Very interesting thread. Hope it all works out for you.

I would be so tempted to by-pass that switch... oh my yes.

Brian, the TN is designed to take fuel quick so a screen on the inlet would not be a good idea for 99% of the users. I have never traced my fuel system on the TN but then again I have never had a reason to do so.

I wonder if the wire to the switch is good or a bad conector. I hope your new TC works out for you.

Trust me, I would bypass it if the thing had more than 10 hours on it (plus of course, this one isn't actually mine, it's a loaner)
but it has 4 wires, not 2.
There's a relay somewhere (that must be whacko too)

I'm sure it is for safety reasons..that the dealer did'nt bypass the safety switch..... but if it is a switch.. the number of wires in the harness doesn't matter.. nothing magic about a switch as an electrical device.. just gotta know which wires get shorted.. and which don't.

Good luck!

you do relize that the TC40/45 is has the same hydro bypass valve as my smaller TC33da right?

dispite the 40/45 heavyer bulker frame, its 10-15 extra hp, 1 extra cylinder, it will pull no harder than my smaller class 2 machine.

Well...that's a slight stretch. I think you are wrong, Steve. The relief valve for at TC33D is SBA322840759, or SBA322840130. The one on all Class IIIs is SBA322840773. I believe yours is set for less pressure. All Class III tractors have the same relief valve, but your Class II is different.

What's an "LC" thread stand-for???
"LC" stands for the Lone Cowboy. :) Brian starts some of the longest, most interesting, most controversial threads revolving around use of tractors in a small business environment.Dougster
Thanks for explaining. I had been thinking it was one of those Internet acronyms for "Long and Confusing", "Long and Controversial" or "Long and Convoluted".

Well, I suppose folks are free to characterize these threads any way they want. I happen to take particular interest in anything to do with tractors used in a commercial/business environment because: a) I'm trying to do that myself, b) I'm currently seeking a second machine (which could be HST), and c) The toughest duty out there these tractors will ever see is in constant commercial/business use. Their performance in such rigorous and demanding circumstances should be relevant to anyone interested in purchasing a new or used CUT. Given the number of posts, apparently I am not alone in my interest in these sorts of threads.

Doug- I was only trying to make some humor about Internet abbreviations, a little too dry I guess. I just was reusing your own words of LC threads being "long" and "controversial" at times. No disrespect meant; I read these things too because I'm also currently in the market for a heavy use machine as well.
