I have a ford 3550 TLB and will be using it to dig a small pond and clearing fence rows along with putting a leach field and two culverts. I have no teeth on my loader bucket, is there any benefits with adding teeth ?

Having a toothbar will let the loader dig packed materials much better. You will enjoy having it for those projects.

MANY here on TBN have had great service from Markham Welding for their toothbars-I suggest calling them with your bucket measurement and get a quote.

Search the term "markham" and "toothbar" for hours of reading.

I agree, a toothbar makes a big difference, especially in hard clay soils.

I do not have a teeth on my tractor loaders and they don't dig much at all.

I added a toothbar to the skid steer and it about doubled the ease of digging.

However, remember that a tractor with a bucket is NOT an excavator. They call them "loaders", not excavators. Don't expect miracles out of your tractor, especially in hard to work soil.

Even the skid steer (80 hp, 8000#, steel tracks) has trouble in some soils.
