Over the last couple of years I've sometimes noticed that the front end of my Iseki TL2300 tractor has been a little light going up hills, or when pulling some loads and occasionally when turning around on some slopes with attachments in a raised position.

So, today I added five suitcase weights to the front of my tractor. Probably about 250-300 lbs total weight. I'm wondering if the added weight will cause any serious amount of additional wear to the front wheel hubs, wheel bearings, spindles, tires or rims? Your experience appreciated.

Add wear? Probably no more than all that previous bouncing did. I wouldn't be without front weights personally

Yes. Anything supported by wheel bearings contributes extra wear. Whether it'll tear up an Izeki or not............????
Wheel weights and or tire ballast is minimal in comparison.

As mentioned, any weight you add is weight that has to be supported. So yes, given normal activity the weight probably adds some stress. However, as was also mentioned, that stress might be a lot less than bouncing the front end around all the time.

Either way, if you are bouncing I imagine it would be better to have more weight up front even if it does add more stress; simply for improved steering, handling and safety.
