DK65 Rear Axle

Okay I was going to working the tractor today. The last time I used the tractor I had it in four wheel drive. Today when I started to use the tractor I remembered it was in four wheel drive so I shifted it back to two wheel drive and the tractor wouldn't move. When I released the clutch I could hear a rattling, so unfortunately I didn't get to use the tractor. Does anyone have any idea what I need to start looking at to repair this?

Put it back in 4WD and in gear and jack up each rear wheel one at a time. If you can turn one, that's where the problem is. Likely to be a broken differential half shaft. If you can turn each rear with the opposite on the ground, things are worse.

Double check that your High N Low gear lever is not slightly out gear that might have gotten bumped while taking it out of 4wd. it has happened to me before and I thought I broke something. Sometimes if it is just out of gear the teeth will still touch and make the rattling noise.
