How do you blow it off? Manual says blow from the inside out but I could have sworn my dealer said to never clean it that way.

Don't, replace it. It was discussed in Compact Equipment Magazine a few years ago, and for much bigger an expensive equipment; by experts in the field of equipment maintenance. Bottom line: replace, DON'T try to clean air filters.

If you are going to blow out your filter, blow it from the inside-out.
Blowing from the outside pushes dirt farther into the filter.
That said I never blow out my filters. Too much risk of blowing a small hole in the filter IMO.
If its dirty replace it with a new one.

I would be replacing my Filter 4 to 5 times a year if I replaced it when dirty. I bump it against a tire then use very low air pressure and clean from the inside. Bush hogging clogs them up pretty quick.

I use a vacuum cleaner on the outside. Then hold it up to the sun and look thru it for any holes. Discard it if you see any. The vacuum cleaner does a good job and is gentle.

Thanks for the link.
The DK filter gets dirty pretty quick doing loader work if your material is dusty.
Most heavy construction rigs, loaders, dozers etc have a inner and outer filter, so that if the outer filter is compromised you have a backup.
I was surprised that the DK was a single filter.

I crossed that carquest number to Napa (wix filter) 6489 Part Detail

It says to use with 6490 inner Part Detail.

This is the route I will be going, providing it all fits the airbox correctly.
This should take the risk out of cleanings in between filter replacement:thumbsup:

I spent a few years servicing heavy equipment, the inner filter lasts a long time if your outer is never compromised, cheap insurance IMO.

If you wanted a cleanable filter and like K&N products, here's the cheapest place I found to get one. It's the same size as the original paper filter and crossed from K&Ns site. K&N E-4962 Replacement Industrial Air Filter | AJUSA.COM

My experience with KN air filters....back in 2000 I built a Jeep TJ for offroad use.
I put a drop in KN filter in the factory Air box.
First trip out with the KN it was pretty dusty, I was skeptical about the KN because you can hold it up to the light and see holes in it.

I pulled the air tube off when I got home, and the inside was covered with a very fine coating of dust.
The new KN went into the garbage.

Now that I think about I'm thinking mine has an inner too. That may have been what he was saying not to blow out. I'd go out and look but the rain is starting...
