I got a quote for beet juice in my bobcat ct440 of just over $200 for the rear tires. That was me taking the tires to them. I believe they said it would increase the weight by about 385 bounds per tire?

That's a very good price for RimGuard. I paid $210.00 installed for 257 pounds per rear tire (24 gallons per tire).

Ok, I rechecked three places locally, and this is what I discovered. Best price $216.15 for both tires installed. Tires are 13.6x24, which require 38 gallons @ $2.50 per gallon increasing weight 407 pounds per wheel. Other quotes were $269, and $280. I live in Bunker Hill IL, and these dealers are located within 20 miles.

That's .27 cents per lb. That's a very good price!!!! $216 versus $814 for cast iron weights. And then you would have had to stack so many weights that they'd be sticking out of the wheel. :)

I hear you, only problem is it is the farthest, and my trailer is basically overloaded with my tractor (with FEL) the way it is. It would be an additional 800 pounds with the juice.

Take the wheels off and just take them in. Or ask if they can pick it up for you. Or see if they will fill at your site.

I'm assuming you can't take the FEL off?

Me personally, I'd be reluctant to take the tire/wheels off the tractor. So,,,, let's assume you do and you lay them on your trailer. Then you pump 400lbs of fluid in them. They already weigh 150-200 lbs. Do you have a method to stand them up, get them off the trailer, and align them back onto the tractor?? If not, avoid this plan.

Not saying it can't be done. Just saying you ain't doin it by hand.

If your leaning toward the beet juice, rent a trailer rated to haul your tractor. Most places rent by the day.

Just use the FEL and a strap to pick them up off of the trailer. :)

We all do..... Not saying it's not possible. But you better have some very good/stable blocking/jacks under the rear axle of the tractor during this operation. And,,,, most importantly,,,, take pics. :)

I'm thinking Dan was joking.....

Note a joke... I've had to do this. Years ago, before I had a trailer of my own, I jacked up the rear (leaking, loaded) tires on my friends L2850, blocked it up under the hubs (very carefully, stable, solid firm ground) and used the loader to lift the tire while I backed the truck under them, one at a time. Then used the loader down to lift the fronts, and removed them as well, hand loaded them, and off to the tire shop I went. It can be done, alone, taking your time and being very careful.
