With an engine generating heat which has to be dissipated with the radiator, why would you not jut buy a heater core/fan assembly and install it?

I suck as a machanic but that is a great idea. I'll take a peak at the link you provided.

Very nice. šŸ‘
I do wonder why "they" don't offer a simple enclosure. No fabric headliner, a/c, heat or radio. Simple to remove doors and glass too! Flat and gasketed for local glass shop replacement.
I guess I'm describing a cab of the 70's.šŸ˜†
I have one of those "No fabric headliner, a/c, heat or radio, simple to remove doors" cabs on my 1978 Massey 20C. It was built by Sims and offered by MF as a factory cab. Since it was built to fit the 20C-50C it is massive compared to the tractor. I can even stand in it and still have 6"+ above my head. However it is hot as heck in the summer. It is LOUD! You can't hear hardly anything just the drum of the engine.

I fabricated panels to seal it up tight to the tractor as the cab let hot engine air in in the summer, but in the winter the air had cooled so you had a constant breeze. Most folks do not want to have the engine noise magnified in a metal drum, sweat more in summer, and still be cold in winter.

I have contemplated adding a heater to the cab. Currently I have a 12v fan that runs year round: in summer its pointing at me, in winter its blowing on the windshield to keep it clear. I do like the cab when it rains, and it does keep you warmer now that I have sealed it. However I do not think most folks would want one. Look at the thread complaining about how the new Kubota L6070 does not have a door switch for the dome light. Folks want their comforts and are willing to pay for them. This is very few people other than company's buy Ford XL's or Chevy WT's us Americans love our creature comforts. Folks will claim they want basic, but then go and buy the XLT or Platinum truck, the same applies to tractors.

I just bought a 2025 Ford 150 XL with a reg cab and long bed 4x4. Just what I wanted a work truck. Way more stuff than the 2004 Ram I drive now and more than I need or will use.

Exactly what I did on my DIY cab about a dozen years ago. With 20MBTU it had about 1/5 of the BTU's as the 2700SF house we live in. Never a lack of heat.
