Anybody ever see or better yet use a Disk Chisel? Saw one on craigs list a while ago. 10' wide, one row of pans in the front and 8 chisel points behind. Nice solid looking plow.

I don't think its going to take the place of a chisel and a tandem, what do y'all think?

The Disc-Chisel is used extensively for Fall tillage particularly in corn stalks but other crop residue as well. The idea is to chop and bury the residue after the harvest for faster decomposition while bringing some soil to the top to aid in faster warming for planting in the Spring. They require lots of horsepower like maybe 15-20 HP/shank if used at depth intended.

What tillage in this country needs in my opinion is a new whirlwind rotary levee plow to build up the soil depth and reduce any erosion to a minimum as the soil is piled back up on it self and broken to a depth of 14 inches. my thoughts anyway.
