Difference between Briggs engines

[Palomino]

I am looking at two lawn tractors made by husqvarna at the moment. One is a 48"inch deck with an 24hp ELS engine ($1699) and the other is a 54"inch deck with an 24hp Intek engine ($1899). What are the differences between these two engines?

Go for the Briggs engines with the cast iron sleeve.
