Well, obviously you can't. So that falls under the category of "purely academic or based on theory and conjecture." so the question of ground up/down/sideways becomes moot because there is no factual basis for an argument.How do you put in a rationale for something that is not addressed in the codes?
when we were wiring houses, for a time i also put switched outlets ground up. then some time ago i simply stopped doing that.i dont remember why, i just stopped doing it. it may have been due to customers complaining their outlet was upside down, but i really dont recall.
i guess i just stopped making a big deal about it.
i guess you could always do this
