This is the one I ordered ..no longer available hope they shipped mine before they ran out ....this one does spec the J1939 format......

Not all elm327 are the same .mine cost around $20 ( cost does not mean it will work ) tracking say it should be here Saturday will test and let you know...do you by chance have a Facebook page where I could up load pictures or video if it works ...can do the same with my HD Truck scan tool if you would like to see them ...

Finally got the ELM 327 ....took longer shipping from Kentucky than California ? West Virginia borders Kentucky..
Haven't had a chance to test it , lots of heavy rain all weekend

George, resend me your email have a few pictures of the HD Truck scanner to send you ..the ELM327 wouldn't work at all gave me an error would work at all on tractor , haven't tried it on car....

Replaced phone , haven't recovered data yet ( if I even Can )no big deal just six or so picture of ha truck scanner didn't even have it set up for sae..it's was getting cold and really check a lot of the scanner functions ...know it will read live data ,coolant temp , rpm , and such. ...

ELM324 scanner wouldn't read live data on my tractor , May be able to reset trouble code but that seems to be about all , recommend an HD truck scanner that can read J1939 protocol

Good deal your eml324 seems to work better than mine ... nice experiment though, the WiFi version is definitely not comparable with my Tractor ..

I didn't get any live data. just a snapshot. Here's what it found on mine.

Interesting, will try Cummins program next time . Around... was so Hopeing this WiFi version elm324 would have read live data ...

The only things I typed in was my vehicle name LS XR3037HC which is shown in the first line at top of page and engine size of 1.5L. The program found the rest. I took 5 snapshots to make sure it was seeing changes such as coolant temp. etc.
