I'm thinking of installing this dessicant vent breather on my diesel tank. Does anyone have experience with using these or a good brand?

The fuel tank on my M6040 has a long rubber hose on the vent. Goes up high into the tractor framework. Terminates with a small filter. Keeps crud from being sucked back into the tank. Eleven years now - not even the tiniest bit of dust on or in this filter.

Nice idea!
Wonder how long it lasts?
Probably depends on how often the tank is used. I'm using this on a 50gal storage tank that only gets used every few weeks, so I'm hoping it will last a long time. Keeping the tank full also probably helps so it doesn't have to scrub the air that's in the tank as the temperature changes.

For a 50 gallon tank kept mostly full, and infrequent use, your reasoning seems spot on!
Good Luck!
