I have been reading the discussions on TBN for a few weeks, decided to join up because most answers to questions make good, common sense. Anyway, I have a JD 4100 that I'm trading on a cab 3520. The cold and mountains of snow have finally gotten to me. My question is, why does it take so long to get delivery on a new tractor? How long have most of you had to wait?

We signed the papers and paid for our 2520 the first week of December. It arrived at the house 6:00PM January 28th
I don't think that is a normal wait time.
In my case,I upgraded to the heavy duty bucket for my FEL and supposedly that was the reason for the delay,not the tractor itself.
Who knows,hopefully you may only wait a few days

I had to wait about 5 weeks for a 3720 cab tractor from order to delivery to dealer, but that wasn't recently. It was 2.5 yrs ago when the economy was doing well. With the current economy, I'd think it would be much quicker.
Enjoy your new tractor. Work will be way more enjoyable in the winter with that heated cab and in the summer with A/C, and you don't have to worry about those stinging bees.

Is the 2520 made in Augusta, GA?
The original goal of that plant was to make the tractors on-line as the orders came in. Dealer stock will put a few out and available, but the cab tractors prolly are in short supply (as it is a hot item for Deere). Getting in the que, and through the line, then the trucking scheduled with a load coming your way....all take a few days.
But it should be a fresh one that hasn't been sitting on a lot for months or years.
But waiting is hard, I remember well.

My understanding is they are assembled in Georgia.
My serial plate has Yanmar Agricultural Equipment,Osaka,Japan.
