Deere Ready to Mow Program

I purchased a 2520 last year with a 62D mower deck. I went ahead and purchased the extended maintenance with the ready to mow program. This includes the first two years of standard maintenance and increases the warranty an extra year. They come to your house to do the maintenance and it is very convenient. They were almost completed with the first maintenance when I asked them how bad the mower blades were? They said they don't even look at the blades yet alone sharpen them. However, they would do it if I asked. They went ahead and sharpened the blades and I just received a bill for $37 for the sharpening and deck cleaning. With a name like "Ready to Mow" would you be surprised to find that mower deck blade sharpening IS NOT included? How can Deere call it "Ready to Mow" and not include sharpening the blades? I'd like your opinions on this subject.

From looking at the JD site, if you had bought a garden/lawn tractor blade sharpening was included. The CUT program does not include it (as you well know by now)..

What was the cost of this service, if i could ask..

The plan cost was $1,199.

Ready to get my 2305 service done at 50 hours. The cost of this is around $225.00. That should be the last service for the year.

Doesn't suprise me - but for $1200 you would think they could sharpen the blades while they are there. Pretty weak if you ask me...

Hi:

I don't have a plan, but when I got my 50 hour service on my 2305 (About 70hrs) the dealer came on site and did include sharpening the blades and leveling the deck. And this was last Fall when I wouldn't be mowing for a while.
