I am going into my second snow season with my GT3235. I have the 54" blade in the front with the hydraulic lift/angle. Question is do I need to take the deck off or can I leave it on? Last year I left it on but honestly it is a pain to take off - VERY heavy (I had back surgery 10 weeks ago) and a pain to store. So what do those others who use a blade do with their deck - On or Off?

If ground clearance while plowing isn't an issue, I'd leave it. The extra weight wont hurt. Only thing I wouldn't like is snow or road salty slush laying on top of the deck. I know the crap at the end of the driveway makes my walk-behind snowthrower rust.

I would most likely take it off if I had a blade. I take my deck off anyway over the winter months. I think that is just a matter of preference.
I have a 44" deck on mine and it is really heavy. I imagine the bigger they are the heavier and awkward to handle.

That was my thought as well....I could use the weight but the snow sitting on it is a worry. If I can figure out how to wrangle the **** thing better it would not bother me to remove it....

I would not go pushing stuff around with the deck attached. If you pile snow then manage to hop over the plie with your front wheels the weight of the tractor comes down on the deck. I always took off the deck when working the driveway ect with my BX2300.
