Mowing deck 590-811-100 throwing belts

Does anyone else have a problem with the deck throwing belts? Noticed that the belt will ride up on the middle belt sheave, then return to ride in the groove, does this on and off until you throw the belt. Brand new belt this week, but after numerous tosses, it's now a little ragged. Took the guards off so I could put belt back on. Left them off because of the multiple times I had to do this. help

I've had the same problem.. so far 100$ in belts. I had three problems that killed 2 belts, 1. Idler pulley bearings were shot. 2. Too much tension on belt. I replaced idler pulley with a smaller pulley. 2. Tensioner pulley arm was bent down and needed to be bent back up. Now it rides in the middle with no problems. 3. Lack of grease in shafts and grease points. I greased the life out of every joint on the deck.

I think they modified the deck because of this exact problem.
