Decent value? (Kubota M8950)

Looking for something to pull a 15' mower to cut some fields.

Found this.

Hours: 2,450 according to the tach
Year (??) Maybe 1990? (I have no clue)

Drove it yesterday with a 15' Rhino behind it and cut some 3-4 foot tall junk in his fields.....almost exactly what I'll be cutting here. Did a good job taking it out however, it did leave numerous "sprigs" of uncut weeds that were likely too long and just layed down when the mower went over them and sprung back up.

(I'm guessing the blades are dull?)

Front left tire is brand new, replaced in last 2-3 days.... still has the little rubber stems on it from the manufacturing process. Other front tire is let's call it 75%

One rear tire is looking ugly. It's been gashed up but is currently working. Might last 1 mowing session, might last 4 years.

Tractor has the rear wheel weights (if that's any benefit)

Asking price is $9,300


He's also asking $6,500 for the Rhino SE 15-4 that it's currently connected to.

The mower worked fine but when you raised the wings, made a loud "groan" which might be common to all of them....or might not (another thing which I have no clue)

Asking price for whole package: $15,800

He said his father bought the Rhino 20 years ago and today, they are (I forget) something like $13,000 so he's asking $6,500

In other words, he's using their new pricing structure to price his verses the usage/condition of his.

I don't have any pictures of the mower

Relatively low hours on the tractor but would like more pics! Blades might be dull and I think a new mower would cost more then the price of this package deal.

Here's all I have. The pictures struck me as the tractor being pretty clean (verified when I drove 2-hours to view it)

The mower was covered with grass/stuff as it was literally in the field he had started to cut (and the same field I got to test drive it in)

One question I have in the back of my head (typing out loud here, not necessarily asking for opinions BUT (hint hint) will take any!!)

I have also found about ONE hour away, an older Allis Chalmers 6080 (that does NOT have the bearing fix yet) and it's mated with a 50 year old (in impressive condition) 15' Bush Hog 513. He'll sell AND deliver both of them to me for $8,000

But...the Allis has a known thrust bearing issue in the engine so that would need attention. Tractor runs like a top "right now" but no idea how that would last. The thrust bearing not being fixed causes some questions. (I've looked and found some of the critical parts to create & bolt the "bra" on the front of the engine to keep crank from floating)

Kubota would be newer.... easier to get parts (dealer is 15 minutes away)
Allis Chalmers: Parts should be available but not necessarily as quick/easy

Rhino mower: parts available but dealer is 45 minutes away
Bush hog: As per a phone call to Bush Hog themselves, parts might get difficult to find and will be expensive BUT, the mower is built like a tank.

If you can live without a cab and ac I think the Kubota package will be a lot more productive. I have read that AC parts are a bit of "roll the dice and hope for good luck" and that is hard when you are trying to get stuff done. The Kubota is getting old but the stuff that is going to go out is more age than hour related (belts, hoses, stuff like that) that you will have a much better chance at finding. Rhino makes a good mower and as long as it is not totally worn out (sound like it might need some grease now) it is a great place to start.

Anyone have a thought on what a fair value (to both buyer and seller) would be on something like this?

Tractor being 2wd hurts it's value. I'd like it a lot better at $8K. The cutter would bring $4K tops here.

The tractor is very straight and obviously shedded.
