Just picked up a Big Bee Agri-Four (48") rough cut rotary mower on Saturday for $300. I found it on Craigslist. Owner said it was about 2 years old. He did hook it up to his PTO and spun it. It seemed to run ok. Anybody have experiences with Big Bee?

It's not a bad economy cutter, but I have heard they are hard to find parts for if you ever need them. Might want to check on where can get parts.

As for the price, if the age/useage are correct, that's perfectly acceptable. I think you'll find them new for around $600 or so.

As for parts or support, here you go......................http://www.darrellharpenterprises.com/........... that is the OEM and they make quite a bit more than the basic econo cutter but they are hard to track down.

You can also try Sweet Tractors.............Sweet Farm Equipment Co.,Disc Mowers, Compact Tractors,Implements, Ship Nationwide Daily They are a dealer in Kentuck' that do a lot of national sales and handle new Big Bee implements on a consistent basis.

I agree.. 50% $$ or less on good condition used implements.

Good buy.

I, myself, would prefer a slightly bigger tractor/mower for 2 acres of rough cutting but if it does it for you..........more power to you. Your property doesn't look that challenging at all so the little shredder should do fine and last a long time on little investment.

I was looking for at least a 5' mower but thought this deal was too good to pass up. I can always sell it and move up in size if neccessary. Size wise the 'Bota works fine. I purchased it mainly for snow removal. Eventually we want to covert the field to a natural prairie so it won't need to be mowed.
