D130
Got a 4-5 year old D130 from Lowes. I wasn't expecting much, but I expected to stay moving longer than it has.
.
Problem is, it won't move. Put it away last fall, pulled the release-rod, to push it around inside shed.
Changed the tires in the shed, and started it up.
No forward or reverse movement, no even a sound.
Parking brake is also non-functional.
I checked the shaft that the rod attaches to, it turns when I push/pull rod back and forth.
No obvious sign of fluid leaking
The little fan on top of trns, spins when engine is running, Continues to spin , with no real sign of speed changing when forward /reverse is pushed.
.
What else could it be folks ? Nearest "reputable" Deere dealer is 30 miles, and they are already swamped.

I would push and pull the rod a few times. Try it again. Do that a few more times if it doesn't work. It's gotta be related.

Yes, tried that multiple times. Moved linkage at trans by hand, with no results.

sometimes, removing the transmission, draining the oil out, flusing the old oil with fresh, the draining that and using 100% synthetic oil will get it working again, sometimes you have to replace parts inside, the link I posted has many details! basically, you are lucky if it lasted 4-5 years, it's not designed for that, it doesn't even have a drain plug to change the oil!!..

Was it the rear wheel? check for the axle key if it fell out and not replaced

Yes, I dropped one of them, shoved it back in though. I wish it was that simple

That sorta kinda leads me to the belt or something in the belt drive linkage ... lack of tension or not engaging.

It may be spinning, but is it tensioned enough to create hydraulic pressure? When one begins to slow down or not climb as well, a slipping belt is one of the causes.
