Aussiebushman....Your tires are R1's, not R4's, I don't know if grooving them will help any, they are already grooved wide.

This was free hand... No template. I may make a template for the rear tires though.

My L3200 has 15 x 19.5 rears (I think). Suggestions for a template? It seems most people are grooving rather than siping?

You really don't need a template. Just free hand it. If I can do it anyone can do it. I have zero artistic ability.

That's almost unbelievable that you can lift your tractor, do those perfectly straight cuts, free hand to boot, on both left, and right tires, all in 10 minutes.
I guess I'm just old,slow, and a mortale.

It is pretty easy free hand, its a slow push so you have time to look where your going, where you want to turn etc. I marked mine with a ruler where to turn and then where to stop, this got me in the ballpark of looking symmetrical anyway.

Yes, very easy.... And the groover was not plugged in. So it was not hot. Picking up the tractor? I simply did the grooves I could reach, started the tractor and pulled it forward to rotate the tire. Worked smarter not harder
