Cutting corrugated roofing

I measure and then go order it cut to size so I'm not wasting money and I don't need to cut anything.. As a matter of fact I ordered some for my 12x20 shed last week, it will be here Wednesday all cut a in a nice neat package ready to be screwed down...

That is my preference as well. I can order 26ft at $5.50/ft plus taxes and shipping or I can buy this also new 12 ft at $3.33/ft, including tax, but I have to pick up, also 2 1/2 inches increased useable width, basically I less row. Significant cost reduction close to $1000.

I would go with a 4.5in angle grinder with a cutoff wheel. Thats what i used when i did mine. I have a plasma, circular saws and all kinds of metal working tools.

I feel like a plasma would burn to much of the coating. Circular saw with abrasive metal cutting blade would be my second choice. Cut them all at the same time.

Gotcha.. Delivery is free here so it's a no brainer for me..

a circular saw is clearly not the right choice, as it WILL throw large chunks of metal at you at high velocities. an abrasive cut off wheel is much better..

I've used circular saw & abrasive blades and ended up with burned edges, and lots of used blades. Got a carbide tipped metal blade, Still have the original blade after a barn and multiple sheds. I flipped the sheets to cut from the back. The pans then, are close to blade shoe for a clean cut. One other thing, placed a 2x4 under panel, at cut, to raise the ribs off the ground when cutting.
PPE is very important, save your hearing, eyes and skin.

This ^^^, though with either an abrasive or toothed 'cutter'tool use a guide for best/straightest/cleanest cut, least burring/heat, and leastchips/dust.

Such as this, and half a dozen or more ways/methods/ideas mentioned/seconded are fine IMO. :thumbsup: Yeah, and don't we love TBN for just that?

Seller offered to cut if I provide a cut list. Looks like I’ll take advantage and just do the width cuts myself with pneumatic shear.

I usually have used a wood framing blade turned backwards. Worked really well.
I did the same the other day and was having a harder time than before.
Got to looking and I was using a carbide tipped blade. (Which ruined it by the way)
Switching to an old cheap finishing blade 60 teeth ran backwards went like butter.
I usually run a flap disk on the edges after cutting.
Yes yes yes to ALL PPE! That’s a no brainer.
