i am looking for some information on a curtis cab on a 2320 with r4 tires, i need the exact height from the ground to the highest point of the cab, and also need to know if the cab is braced to or connected to the rops, i am looking at getting one, but need to know that it will fit through my shed door ( the rops must be folded down to fit into the shed, thus the need to know if the cab is hooked to it, it would be okay if it was braced to the lower part of the rops though.

I have a 4210 with a Curtis soft side cab, so I cant help too much with the dimentions. But yes, the rear of the cab is secured to the ROPS with U shaped brackets. The cab top should be lower than the height of the ROPS, so if your 2320 will fit in with the ROPS up, it should fit with the cab on it. The pic below is from Curtis's web page, it shows what I mean. Hope this helps.

Perhaps Curtis would respond to an email with the information you need?

the 2320/2520 was built to replace the old 4100 series and that cab would measure 42" from top of fender. The cab bolts to the fender and footrest and has 2 clamps adhering to the inside of rops. Recommended fold down the rops before tightening all bolts so as not to damaged painted surface.

i have already contacted curtis, they would not be specific on height from ground to top of cab, or tell me if the cab mounted to the top half of the rops or the bottom, i have to fold down the rops to get in the door( it is a standard garage door just a hair over 82" from floor to top of opening, long story short i dont want to be out $2000 if it wont fit inside, was hoping someone had one they could measure, curtis says there are too many tire sizes, mine are r-4 ,they did give me the height from floorboard to cab top , still not answering the ? of where the braces connected. i know they make a good product, just less than satisfied with their eagerness to answer my ?'S,
thanks for helping

Save your money and don't buy a Curtis cab. I bought one for my 4200 and it arrived damaged due to cheap packaging. As I was inspecting the parts I was less than impressed with the over all quality of the cab. I got my money back on the cab after I shipped it back to Curtis on their dime using proper crating; but it took a bit of hassling with Curtis to admit they and the trucking company they used screwed up. I got lucky and was only out the cost of crating the cab up, plus time and aggravation.

Plus if you are of average height or taller, you will probably bang you head on the roof getting in and out of it since the roof is lower than the ROPS. Also, the cab mounts in front of the ROPS making a tight operator's station even tighter.

There are other after market cab companies out there that may offer a better product.

Mjncad, sorry you had a bad experience with your Curtis cab. I'm 6'4", 250+, and have never bumped my head getting in or out, or feel cramped in it. The back of the cab contours behind the ROPS to make room for your seat back. All in all, it's pretty roomy. IMHO, For what you get for the price, I think the Curtis is a good deal. :D

The cab on my HPX is a Mauser. They make cabs for compact tractors too.

mjncad,

You'd think Mauser would have a US dealer, My HPX cab was through John Deere, and from the factory, so maybe a JD dealer has access to Mauser products. I guess keep Googling til you find one.

Jordale Perry also makes cabs. Jodale Perry Corporation

They do have a cab for a 2320, something in the $4000+ range.

Jodale Perry makes a nice looking product; but they are pricey, and I would like to see one up close and personal before buying one...or any after market cab for that matter. That was one of the problems I had with the Curtis cab is that I went on faith.

I know Deere offered a cab option in Europe for my 4200, and if they had offered one in the states at the time I bought my rig I would have opted for the cab.

How about some pictures of your 4400 with the cab? We love pictures on this site.
