Cub Lo-Boy mower vibration

I have a 64 Cub Lo-Boy with a Dana C2 deck mower (sold by IH). At about half throttle, the mower is nice and smooth. At higher throttle, the deck starts to shake. I've had the blades off and balanced them on a scale. I am not sure they are perfect, but I do have a crack in the deck that seems to be growing. It runs from the inspection hole to the bolts for the tower. Is it possible the deck is flexing at higher RPM? Or is the problem I still don't have the blades balanced. Any advice appreciated.

Make sure the blades can move a freely as butter on the blade carrier. i have an IH 44" mower deck on my 66' cub... It vibrated till I made the blades freely move on the carrier.... However.. do check the spindle bearing.. and make sure the hub where the spindle is at the deck does not flex .. isn't rusted thru or cracked...

You may have a bent blade shaft. Check for run-out while you are checking for bad bearings.

Sounds too simple to be a factor, but check the condition of all the belts. My father had an IH 184 with a Woods belly mower. It would shake like a bowling ball in a blender when the belts were starting to come apart.

It was the belt - it just needed to be adjusted (tightened)! It really was that simple. Thanks again for all the great - and time saving - advice from this board.
