I have the small SC2450. I built a small counter weight using an old piece of culvert and cement. Works well because I can roll it around when not on the tractor. Make sure you put in a piece of pipe while it sets so you can slide a rod through

Looking for any information on the Cub Cadet EX 2900 or the EX 3200
Compact tractors. Prices, realiablity. Any issues with them, etc

I used to own a CCY SC2400 but recently traded it in on a 2012 Yanmar EX 3200 and so far, all I can say is "wow", this is one heck of a tractor. I can honestly say that because I used to own a few farm tractors of various sizes and horsepowers. I currently have 26 hrs on it and am kicking myself for not buying one sooner. As to what I like, well, the list is long but here are a few key things that should interest you. The tractor is very well built with a solid cast iron drive train which is beefier than most, it has a 5 year powertrain warranty which I hope I never use but it's nice to know it's there, and has run the 8ft brush hog without struggling like my Ford 3000 would do now and then. I will say, I find the driver's station somewhat cramped being I'm 6'3" and about 230lbs but overall, that is a small factor compared to what this tractor can and has done. Plus, the tranny is a hydro and has 3 ranges which gives it enough variables to do what ever you want it to do with power to spare. As for price, I paid a little bit more than what I've seen them advertised for on the internet at other dealers but being my family has bought from the same dealer since 1946, I know they will go the extra mile to fix it as quickly as possible if it ever goes down.
