I'm thinking of getting a back hoe for one or other of my machines, a tractor or track loader. Given the same make and model BH, which mount would be more useful and stable, or does it matter? The tractor would be a Kubota 7040 with the BH on a sub-frame mount. The track loader is in the 90hp class with a QA mount. All things being equal, the TL would seem more versatile; ie. quicker on and off, attachment in front for better positioning. But a tractor with a sub-frame "might" offer a sturdier mount, though I'm not sure how important this is once the machine is parked and the stabilizers are down.
