Creating a property map

/ Creating a property map #41
I agree that QGIS is a great program, and I really like the open source concept (it certainly beats paying $thousands for ArcGIS). One of these days, I WILL learn to use it. However, I haven't much anything described here that I can't do in Google Earth. QGIS will certainly do much more, but it's not really clear how much of the "more" I need.

I'm another OnXHunt user who doesn't "think like a computer" user at all and am able to use it. I have over a sq mile of woodland and have been able to mark dozens of miles of trails and skid trails along with whatever boundary markers that remain. It's very easy to use, even for me.

Hi

If you search for "QGIS 3 for Absolute Beginners" or just "QGIS for Beginners" you will find some nice videos on YouTube by Klas Karlsson and GeoDelta Labs. I prefer just reading the many web page tutorials but I know some people prefer a video taking users though the steps.

What makes it hard is that the Earth is not flat :) It's not even a sphere!
