Snowblower Craftsman snow Thrower Compatibility

Does anyone know if a Craftsman 486.248260 Snow Thrower attachment will fit on a Craftsman 917.287251 DYS 4500 Yard Tractor? Or, how/where I could find out from Sears, etc. Thanks!

The correct model series is 486.24837. Google "sears fit up guide" for more information. Sometimes agri-fab can supply the correct bracket or you fab one if you have access to welder.

James...thanks so much...somewhat oddly, every snow thrower I saw on the fit-up guide was a 2483 series...not one of them was a 2484...which, because of the numerical sequence, I have to assume was a later model... ???????????

Your tractor is on the list as 28725. The last number is dropped. The perfect fit is a thrower with the first numbers being 24837. See page #14 here.

James....ya, I see that...my problem is that I have a 248460 snow thrower and am trying to match it to a tractor that I'll buy...I'll just call Sears in the morning...thanks for the info...

You need to call Agri-fab. They can get you the proper mounting brackets.
