Whatever method, watch your eyes! Aluminum won't come out with a magnet at the eye doctor's. I guess if I fear anything when working, its getting a piece of aluminum in my eye.

Magnet? Things have changed. The last time I had a metal splinter in my eye the Dr. clamped my head in a vice and drilled it out with a horizontal contraption similar to a boring machine. That was back in the 90's. It sounds worse than it actually was, the entire thing took less than a minute.
