Today at TSC, 3/16" lynch pins $0.89 each.

Individually tested to snap like a mouse trap.

Git-R-Done!

Now for some more seat time!

7/16" lynch pins are the standard for 3PT hitch retainers. NH part number 2N609 @ $.33 each. Others with higher spring tension are available.

Yes sir. I have those at the tractor end. this fell off the bush-hog end (see pic) 7/16 will NOT fit.

Thanks for looking out for me though!

I use the same pin as rekee43 does on all of our equipment that requires a pin and never lost one over many years yes our Bushhog as well. Any dealer or ts store has them for sale.

Just drill out the hole...hehe. Actually thay make all sizes of lynch pins. I have 3/16" ones in my horse trailer to secure the panel release pins. they came with the trailer.

I run the very heavy hair pins too, but drive them all the way through until they're hanging.
Very little chance of one "falling" out

I had a few lynch pins fall our or get hooked and pull out. I got some with a stringer spring action and when I go into heavier brush I put a tie strap or a zip tie on it as further precaution. I don't know what would happen if one side of a box blade or a 1500# weight would fall off but I think it would mess up some other stuff real fast.

Joe,

I will remember that.

Thanks,
David
