Can anyone give me an idea what it would cost to ship a 3k lb tractor 100mi, up to 300, 300+ miles? attempting to start hauling. not just tractors, just seems like a lot of them need transported. Thanks in advance,Stevehttp://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/images/smilies/new/anyone.gif

$1 a mile?

But what would you have to have to make a round trip of 300 miles with a load one way?

What do you have to haul a tractor? A truck, roll-back, a trailer, ??

Hit us with some estimated costs that you would charge, that would include the insurance, cost of equipment, fuel, etc. and the fact you might get one haul a week.

I have been quoted $100 per hour ( includes back empty ) for a 12,000 lb piece of equipment. It was 400 mile round trip. Almost all interstate.

Thanks for the input. I did look at u-ship, and I guess my pricing was in the correct range. Thanks for the help

I had a compact wheel loader weighing 13,000 lbs hauled 1500 miles utilizing U-ship last year for $2300. The hauler has the advantage of moving 3-5 peices of other equipment at the same to to various other destinations. Saves me and the hauler lots of cost instead of just hauling one machine from pt A to pt B. Took about 8-9 days for my wheel loader to show up after I completed the contract.

I also have used UShip with great success. Delivered tractor 175 Miles at my price. Worked for me, and, worked for him. I posted what I was willing to pay, and then drivers can accept your terms or not. Driver said that members bid on jobs and that UShip provides the rest. From my end, I couldn't have been happier. Might give you a place to start. Good Luck. I know it is a much needed service. Glad to find Uship when I did.

RE bdog: I am still getting set up. Running short on funds, need M.C.# & proper insurance. Co. name, tax set up, vehicle/trailer almost ready to go. Also need tie downs. If you would, send me a private message with contact info and I can send mine to you. I am in Az. but will be traveling 29 states. I have a 3/4T with 16' flat bed trailer 4200# load capacity. Thank you Steve.
