HEB Grocery stores changed hours to give stores more time to restock. Only open 8-8.

Haha. I’m saving that!

The same can be said for ANY trade...

Got a text on Friday from a buddy, training classes have been suspended by one vendor until further notice and Lennox on their branches has a warning sign up on the door asking if you've traveled abroad or are not feeling well to not come into their locations.

Was at a gas station today to pay for gas. One woman was wearing latex gloves while the other woman was not.

Tin foil hat on on all this "crap"...

I'm working with FEMA on a Disaster Claim. They cancelled the site visit for two weeks....... I'm so country they could drive out here and inspect my sites and go back to the city without coming in contact with anyone besides me...... Rather than the hundreds of people they'll come in contact with this weekend.....

The biggest thing I've noticed is, all the emails saying that were "cleaning more frequently and throughly". What the h@#l were they doing before? Makes you wonder?

All this hoarding talk just reminded me I had this. Bring on the apocalypse, I'm good. After all it's only 58 years old, gotta still be good.....

Imagine those with comprehension and memory problems unable to process the state of the world...

It presents a whole new set of challenges...

I always kept a box of freeze dried rations in foil packs... turns out Mom opened all the packages a few months back and determined it was all dried out and tossed it...two steps forward and one back.

Hospital uncertain as County has cancelled all non essential surgery... so far no uptick in admissions which have actually dropped off a lot... Friday the normally bustling lobby was deserted...

I have an bad feeling this is only the tip of the Wuhan Flu outbreak, just the beginning.

I am thinking you might be right...

The charting below starts at 100 cases and is measured in days.

Top line is Italy, Then Iran, S. Korea, US, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong; each dot is 1 day; top line is 10,000 cases, then 5,000, 2,000, 500, 200, and 100 cases

Okay, here we go again...

MikePA: Corona Virus # 3 Closed, since a few people cannot refrain from going political and insulting others.

We need a statistical report showing who contributes to the closing and how many posts. Kinda like the threads with Polls. Data displayed. If my name was on it I would quickly adjust myself....

I live outside a college town. Went in shopping this morning. No shortages, no limits, nobody even gives a dam about any whats-its-name virus. The entire college has shut down and all classes being taught over the internet. Pretty cool. They already had a plan, in place, to cover just such an emergency.

Sounds like a rational alternative!!!

If I were a student, and I was suddenly able to go home and get my education online, I'd have to wonder why I am paying such a steep resident student fee???

I had stopped reading #3 because it suddenly turned ugly. I come here for entertainment, if I want to see people harping on each other I will watch the evening news.
Mike is less tolerant than Mossy, and wasn't long shutting it down.

You really don't need a statistical analysis to figure out who the usual suspects are, all that you need to do is find the locked threads and note that the last posts were by the same group of posters.

I had planned to make a camping trip out west in a couple weeks. My first destination was the open house at the Trinity Site in NM. Yesterday they canceled it which somehow I thought they would. So I'm retired and just canceled the whole trip.

We have one confirmed case in Wyoming. My wife stopped in the grocery store and said there were bare shelves. That's a first. Impending blizzard warnings have never triggerd that behaviour.

This is not entirely true...there are many instances where the actual offending posts are a page or two back from when a thread is locked...That was the gist of the thread I started about the lack of consistency...

I'm not shirking from my participation in contributing to thread closures but in the same respect it's hard to know when you're crossing a line when the line is undetermined or relegated to personal interpretation...

Pine,
The virus is not killing the threads, its the members with NO self control.
I don't blame the mods at all, they are just doing what mods are supposed to do.
No need to point fingers or name names they know who they are...
