Pileated woodpecker.Like Cougsfan , though I've travel thous. of miles and never seen an animal one fall when traveling from Tumbler ridge my daughter and I seen so many bears one evening we lost count .
Yesterday this wood pecker showed up eating oregon grape berry's and was back again this morning. I've never seen them with such a bright head it must be breading season.

Ever notice how they use their stiff tail feather shafts as a third foot ? Not just unique to the Pileated but most woodpeckers .You got that rightThe largest woodpeaker in north America and about the size of a crow. Seen here is one visiting our feeder or a tree in our yard. They don't really migrate.View attachment 735306
Well, coincidences are fun...TY Moss R ,I didn't know how to spell it. About 10 yrs. ago we got this house guess and it took us 3 days to convince it to leave.
