Two more shots I missed posting. The osprey looks to be horizontal, but believe me, they seem to be in a fee fall. Just before hitting the water they go in feet first to grab the prey. Terns and king fishers go in head first.

Canada Geese pair paraded by their 18? goslings today along the beach. Parent geese are now called Fertile Myrtle and Horny Harry.

Yes. I grew up on a small oxbow lake, and work near a few lakes. I developed an affection for bird watching. Not hard-core birding, just watching what's around and looking up the one's I don't recognize. Sometimes I eat my lunch and just watch the wildlife. Water attracts so many different species to one place.

I have to say that I've seen thousands of buffleheads in my life, but never realized they were more than black and white until I saw your photo. Splendid!
