There is another interesting phenomenon that happens in Knik Arm. During the extreme spring tides - you will get a tidal bore. It's the extremely rapid tides coming back into the arm. The incoming tide meets the outgoing water from the river off the Knik glacier. It's like a miniature tsunami. I've seen a bore that was nearly three feet high.
Didn't see a single deer or hog this morning for the opener, so I took a few pictures of my pond as I walked back to the house to warm up.

That's a cool gazebo!
Have a Pear tree in the backyard, bout 60ft from the house. This time of year the Deer love it. Our Rut season is just beginning. The Bucks know something's happening but the Does aren't quite ready.
