Converting a 3rd Function Valve To a Rear Remote

I have an offset flail mower with two cylinders which I use with the T&T kit on my Kubota L6060HSTC. This requires 4 hydraulic circuits but the tractor has only 3 rear remotes. Until recently, I was using a diverter valve but I got tired of reaching out the rear cab window to operate it.

To fix the problem, I added a fourth breakaway coupler housing to the stack with 90 degree elbows and Pioneer QR couplings:



I ran hydraulic hose along the fender up to the 3rd function valve. I removed the couplers leading to the loader and attached the lines for the rear remote in their place.



I use the flail mower infrequently so the temporary hose routing isn't a problem. When not in use, I remove the hoses and cap the couplers:



Yes, it's a lot of time and $$ to avoid using a diverter valve but to me, it's well worth it. I can keep my eye on the hedge line I'm mowing without having to turn around and reach out to operate the diverter. Since I had most of the parts laying around anyway, the cost for a few couplers was all that was necessary.

Sure, I could have connected the hoses from the 3rd function valve directly to the implement but I prefer to use breakaway connectors in case the implement detaches from the 3 pt hitch.

That works! Just curious as to why not use a electric over hydraulic diverter valve? That way you would not have to open the window and reach out but just flip a switch.

An electric diverter valve certainly would have worked but it was cheaper to use the parts I already had on hand to make up the 4th remote.
