I am wanting to know if using the TC40 hydrotransmission to pull an implement, such as a 10 ft. disc, will cause damage to the transmission or overheat the fluid.

A 10' tandem disc will probably overload the TC40D. Actually, t would probably be too much for a TC40 gear drive as well. The hydro will not pull as much as a similarly powered gear drive tractor.

If you have sandy soil you may be able to do it but it is a lot of disk to pull. I use a 10' with a TN 65 and my soil is heavy with some clay and it works the tractor. I could probally pull a 12' if everything was nice and dry but if I find a wet spot with the 12' I would have to lift it and avoid it or get stuck going thru. Best bet would be to find a 8' transport disc as the old rule of thumb was 5-6 hp per foot of disc.
