Considering JD X744 Purchase - Need Advice!

Remember the X series have EVERY bell and whistle you can ever imagine.
I LOVE changing the oil on my X475, its literally 100% clean. You never get a drop of oil on your fingers, or the floor. there is a plastic flexible drain tube that the drain oil runs out of, and there is a drain basin under the oil filter, so the oil runs down into another plastic pipe and drains free and clear into your bucket. Its just amazing at the effort that was taken to make this machine a dream to work on.

I agree with you 100%. These machines are truly a delight to own and operate. Some people mention that the 2305 is a better deal, and it might be, but operate one of these X series tractors and use it and change the oil in it, etc., and it becomes very apparent why they cost so much. They are fine machines.

You know I like fooling with tractors too as most of us on TBN do. There are plenty of other things I could do but I enjoy my tractors, I guess that is why I don't want to settle for less, it is one of my chief hobbies. I am giving some serious cnsideration to an allwheel steer X5xx or X7xx. I only have to justify it in my mimd.

Give me my old 2210, and my X475. Put them side by side, and make me pick which one I would keep if I could ONLY keep one of them.
I would hands down pick the X475. The X series just does what its designed for SO WELL, whereas the 2210 did alot of different things, but it never did any of them nearly as well.

Now my 2520 and the X475 is a whole different story!
