not going to get a mower yet. I have way too much cleanup to do on the property before there is anything to mow. Probably at least a year away for that.
That was/is my situation. You may find that once you get some grass in that you may want a separate machine. I ended up buying a Kubota Z turn instead of the MMM because 1) I wanted a more agile machine and 2) I didn't want to be removing and installing the mower deck on the BX since I still have a lot of FEL and BH work in some rough areas.

TMR,

If you are not mowing a lawn, then I would go with the B Series or bigger. A mid mount mower might not be for you either. The mid mount on the B2620 is a drive over though which is easier to take off and on. I had a 60 inch bush hog for awhile but I had some slopes that didn't feel very good mowing. With a 60 inch bush hog you would need the FEL on or the front will lift up. If you want to talk about this, pm me and we can talk. I know what you are going through on making a decision.

Get the B for ground clearance, no easy break trans fan, 3 speed, more.bigger bucket lift power and add a rear finish mower (less cost and easy attach/unhook and service) later when you need to start mowing. Add a box store mower any time (now) for close trimming/mowing work.

No worries.. everyone has valuable opinions. As I posted last night in another thread with someone who has a similar situation, I am actually leaning towards the BX25D. Because it's ~$6K cheaper in a similar config. Ultimately, I can live with doing things slower as I will be in no hurry. The money can go towards implements or something else.

My quote on the BX25D is $17598 + Tax (but no tax for me as I am in Oregon)
1. Cash purchase to take advantage of $700 CIR
2. Adding a Box Scrapper ($599) to get the "2nd implement" discount of $1000
3. 12" BH bucket with thumb
4. 3 point hitch
5. Tires filled
6. Delivery

Amazing price. Not seeing anything even close to this in my area.

Yes its a pretty decent number . . but you have to remember russell has beem sweet talking them for awhile now. He's softened em up to the point where they can almost make a profit on it. Almost :)

And remember too . . There is no deck in thst quote.
