So you tried putting the male coupler in without the female being mounted?? This would be extremely difficult. I believe that the female side needs to be installed before you are going to be able to couple them. You are talking about this type of coupler, correct? :confused3:

Yup, that type. Parker 9006-001. Attempted with the females mounted in the bulkhead and the bulkhead clamped in the bench vise.

Well, something some where is wrong,:eek: because they sure are not intended to be difficult to use. If fact they should be relatively easy.;)

Maybe they just need to have the retainer balls coated with a good dose of hydraulic oil.

IAW the desires for pix, here's one NOT installed in the bulkhead.
