I did a bit of shopping yesterday, looked at Kubota B3030, sat in the seat and promptly slid off the front. The seat bottom tilts down/forward so it is work to stay in the seat!! Not the tractor for me, dealer says there has been lots of complaints about the seat, he thinks he can fit a different seat to it. The B3030 with 60" loader and cab was $17590. Tested the B7800, specs very similar to the CK30, seat was comfortable enough, floor area was small and I didn't like the front angle, not comfortable, but tolerable. The backhoe platform was too small for my big feet. Dealer recommended going for Woods backhoe, more room for my feet, adjustable seat, a touch more power and slightly less money. Don't like position of loader controller on the Kubuta's, having to keep my arm 'up in the air' like that, B7800 with 60" loader, $15990. Did a quick check on a CK25, that dealer didn't have a CK30, I forgot to ask the price of the 30, much more comfortable seat, adjustable as well, the others were not. Floor area nice and flat, lots of room for me. Liked the placement of loader control better, more natural position. CK25 w/ 60" loader, $15500, if the Kioti dealer was closer and more knowledgable, I suspect there would be one in my yard now. Kubota dealer was much more knowledgeable and took more time to explain the plus's and minus's of his tractors. Kioti dealer is 55 miles away, Kubota is 17. The Kubota dealer is also a NH dealer so I looked at them as well, found operator area way too cramped for me. A few weeks ago I looked at a JD2520, that was a nice tractor, fit reasonably well, I liked some of their features, JD2520 with 54" loader and weight box, $18221. That dealer is 60 miles away, called another JD dealer who has a questionable reputation, but much closer, they were asking $17300 for the 2520 with 54" loader. I am still undecided if I like the single or dual HST pedal setup. None of the dealers would deliver a machine to my house to try out, all I could do was drive around their parking lots. :(
Decisions decisions decisions.

Those are all fine tractors. I am surprised at the price of the B3030. You stated that was with a cab. If so grab it. I suspect the price is for the open station version however.

IT- You are correct, I just received an email from the Kubota dealer, <1 hr response time :), price with cab is $21,790. I was under the impression from the sales guy I talked with that all 3030's came with cab's. Turns out that is the only way that dealer orders them as they are so popular. He also said he has confirmed that Kabuta has redesigned the horrible seats on the 3030 and he expects replacement seats in in the next few weeks, with arm rests. :) Another option to consider.. :D
Shopping is fun... but I am about ready to set up a dart board will all these tractor models on it and the first one I hit.. I am buying.
The Kioti dealer has not responded to my email after a week, a quick call to him and he said he rarely checks his email. :( Another reason to not deal with him. Too bad, as that was the machine I was most comfortable on.

I'm not sure who you are dealing with but there are at least two excellent Kioti dealers in NH and one in southern Maine. Don't know about their email practices though. If you value that you may need to talk Rick Wallace into bringing you a tractor. He likes to drive and I don't think he's delivered to Maine yet.:D

Look at the Kubota L3400 also. Park it next to the B7800 and B3030. I bought the L3400 after that due to the size of the axels and price points.

The L3400 compares to the DK35se in the Kioti lineup. About the same size and price but the DK is more fully featured.

I bought a B3030HSDC this past summer. It had the original seat when I first sat in it and the dealer expressed that he knew the seat was a problem and that all B3030's were to have their seats replaced. The new seat is much better. I had it out today, the temp was about 40 so I turned on the heat, within 10 minutes I had to turn the heat off. Love the cab. Kioti/Kubota - doesn't really matter, both great tractors, but pick a dealer that you can work with, both now and in the future.

I looked at Kioti and liked it but their cab units were too big, they don't make a cab unit in 30 and 35 hp.

Best wishes

My Kioti search only goes 100 miles from my house so it shows nothing in NH and the dealer I have been dealing with is about half way between my house and the Maine/NH border. If you have any names or contact information I would appreciate it.
I have contacted Rick on some other matters, he does seem like he would be a good person to deal with. I am not so sure I would want to pay for transportation costs from Penn to mid-coast Maine. Sure wouldn't hurt to ask though... :)

Thanks for the input, I will give the L3400 a look, gave a quick check online, but I think it is larger, and more expensive, than I want.

The B series Kubotas are not in the same size class as the Kioti CK30, the Kubota L2800 or L3400 frame and weight are much more similar. The B3030 seats on ALL new tractors are a different design; if you like the tractor order a new one that already has the new seat, not one that has been sitting in the rain for six months. I garage all my equipment, it would be nice for the dealer to do the same. :D

Have you looked at the Bobcat yet? Same as the Kioti, available at select Bobcat dealers starting NOW. Be the coolest kid on the block with the white black and red tractor. No rain on them seats.

Just for kicks, you really ought to look at a Kubota Grand L (e.g. L3240), about 1800.00 more than the B3030 but 2x the tractor. Very, very nice tractor.

Good luck and have fun!

The B series did seem small and cramped compaired to the CK's. My dealer said that he is receiving the new style seats for all Bxx30's he has on his lot. He will give me left over move it before winter pricing with the new seats.

I have not looked at one yet, everything I have read though is the loader is not as strong as the Kioti and they have 1/2 the warrenty.

I know as you spend a little more.. you get a lot more tractor, the B3030 would be pushing my budget, it would limit the implements I could get... the L3240 would be over the top... unless the stock market comes roaring back in the next 3 weeks.

I've got an L3400 and when I drove the DK35se I thought it was quite a bit more tractor - it is quite a bit heavier. When I drove the CK30 which appears to be about the same size from the specs, I felt that my L3400 felt stouter and bigger... although I'm pretty sure that the CK30 is heavier by a few hundred lbs.

I think that the L3400 is worth a look for you. I imagine that you will find the seating position quite a bit more comfortable. It is quite a bit more barebones than the B3030 however. Personally I think that unless finish mowing is one of your primary applications or for some reason you really need the smaller size, the B series are not the best choice.

My Kioti dealer (Batchelder Sales) is in Lebanon, ME and probably not too far from you. They are small but great to work with and very knowledgable about tractors. They have been great for service and support after the sale and great about warranty work. They also had the best price on my brand new CK20 HST.

Batchelders included delivery (30+ miles each way), instruction, 50 hr service, grill guard, large stabilizer feet and larger (16") bucket for backhoe, and choice of tires all included in the quoted price.

I have had several people highly recommend these folks, mapquest puts them at 2hrs 45min, 120 miles from my house. Guess it is time for a road trip... :) I was told that the number 5 Kioti dealer in sales was in Maine.. does anybody know who that is?

I have to give a +1 for Batchelder Sales in Lebanon as well. Eric in the shop is great if I need something and Becky in the office has been very helpful. The fifty hour service is no longer in the sales price though, unless it has changed again. Good luck,,

Actually, according to the dealer, Bobcat loader lifts 1225 lbs full height at the pins, Kioti 1155 lbs. However, Kioti's loader lift height is 92.5 inches, Bobcat's is only 85 inches. Bobcat's warranty and Kioti's are the same except Kioti throws in an additional 12 months on the driveline (3 years compared to 4 years). Kubota's warranty is anemic, I believe it is 12 months parts OR labor bumper to bumper, 24 months driveline. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong; I'm shopping, too!)

The easiest way to get around the Kioti website limitation on dealers is to put in a different zipcode. Try a Nashua NH zipcode and a Lebanon NH zipcode and you will find at least two more NH dealers both with fine reputations.

Regarding Rick Wallace and delivery, call him and see what you can work out. Sometimes he just likes to get into his fancy truck and drive.

I just put my zipcode 03851 into the Kioti search and it came back with 11 dealers. Most interesting was "Bobcat of Boston"

Cheers

That is interesting. I was at Bobcat of Boston a few weeks ago looking for some hydraulic bits and pieces. They also had an orange CK30 and a DK35 on their lot. I was aware they were a Kioti dealer as they had a booth at the Topsfield Fair a month or so ago. They seemed to be preparing to have the new Bobcat 'Kioti' tractors in stock too as they had promotional material etc. I guess some of the Bobcat dealers are legitimate Kioti dealers too.

Kubota's warranty is 2 yrs bumper to bumper and 3 yrs drive train parts and labor!
