New Holland T2310 (40hp), Kubota L3010 GST, New Holland TC21DA *** Previously - Farmall H, 1941 John Deere B, Shibaura SD1500, John Deere 850, Bobcat 642, New Holland 1925
Anybody have any information about the market share of the major players (John Deere, Kioti, Kubota, Mahindra, Massey Ferguson, New Holland)? I am guessing John Deere and Kubota are at the top by a bunch, but is anyone rising and anyone slipping? Would prefer to hear facts, but opinions are also welcome.

Last time this was discussed for compact tractors in the US market, Kubota was #1, Deere a distant #2, and everyone else combined was in a minority at #3 and up. I don't know where the numbers came from, but they were referenced online somewhere. Maybe someone else will know where to get the data.

I just ran out to my shop and did a quick count, Kubota is definitely the leader....

If Deere keeps up with their pricing on machines, parts, and service, I'm sure they'll shortly be placed third by any of the mentioned. We don't see much Mahindra, Kioti or LS around here, but NH and Kubota are very popular. Kubota being the most common in the CUT and SCUT category. I would say Deere and NH are most prevalent for utility machines.

I agree with CDennyRun. As the size of machine changes, the color changes. No facts to back that up here, sorry.

Now that's funny. I guess you can lie with statistics, but statistics never lie .....

Kinda like political poles, it's all in who you ask, and how you phrase the question.

Sometimes it's simply a matter of currency fluctuations that help or hinder some brands.

No one really knows this. The AEM tells each OEM their share of the entire market but does not say where everyone else is. Sometime ago Kubota trumpeted when they crossed 51% as it was black and white official that no one was bigger. #2 is obviously Deere. Its probably safe to say Kubota & Deere are 75-80% of the market, beyond that its going to be hard to say what each brand gets.

Thanks for the input! Nice to have a true expert on such things.
