This makes the angle much more comfortable for me. I used to have foam glued on top for a little smoother ride while pasture mowing. I now lower the tire pressure way down and it works much better.

That looks like a really good idea as it could easily be removed if different people use the machine like mine and some prefer the seat the way it is, though I can't imagine why.

I'm not sure I would go with a 3005 as it's a different animal than the 2000 series.

I have a 790. I don't think I'd buy one for mowing. A freind has one and has the MMM, but doesn't use it. Apparently it raises and lowers with the 3pt hitch, so you either have to take it on and off, or you can't use the tractor for much else.

In my opinion when you mount an MMM to your tractor you now have a lawn mower not a usable tractor. Much better to have a separate riding mower and a tractor for the rest of the tasks. Maintaining good ground clearance is an important issue with a tractor to me.
