Have Mahindra 7520 with not a lot of hours on it (125+/-) and the clutch is giving me problems! Seems it takes maybe half hour of warm up in summer, (and even forcing the thing into gear) before the clutch finally starts to work!! In another words, the clutch does not work during the first 10 to 15 minutes the tractor is running, but after that and for most of the time it works like breeze!

Fluids full-adjustments adjusted!! Not really interested in bringing it to the dealer, he want's arm and leg just to come and get it and look at it, let alone fix it!

Anyone have this problem and or have knowledge to repair same?

Thanks!

Don't know if this will be much help. I am having a problem with my clutch but it seems to be the opposite of yours. I have a 4500 with 390 hours I bought it used a couple of months a go. Anyway it is mainly with trying to engage the pto. I am assuming yours is like mine with a two stage clutch.

I can engage pto at first then the more I run the tractor the harder it is to engage. I wrote a question to a tractor expert on another site and he thinks it is my clutch from the symptoms I descrided. He did suggest I check the free play in my clutch before I do anything else.

2WD?? or 4WD? There are 2 separate clutches in the clutch pac on the '00 series tractors. I'm assuming you have the PTO lever to your left when you sit in the seat...you do not have a "two stage" clutch. the PTO on 00 series is independent (at least on 4WD models). BobG in VA

I think your clutch is getting stuck. This sometimes happens when oxidation forms on the pressed together clutch surfaces in prolonged periods of not using the tractor. A couple days is sometimes enuf to see it happen. Try using an appropriate length 2x4 to hold the clutch pedal depressed when the tractor is going to be parked awhile.

Yes, it does sit for extended periods! Next time up, once it is free and operating, I will try the 2 x 4 method!

Thanks for your help!

My clutch has a little flip up catch that hooks to clutch peddle.
