In my workshop stove. Companies are glad they dont have to pay dump fee, i dont have to pay 100 dollar per yard for firewood and still have to split it and dry for 2 to 3 years, i only use a circular saw and 3 months of drying. I dont mind walking an extra time to fill the heater because pine burns faster than oak with todays firewood prices...I thought the pallets all ended up in fields?![]()
For about 5 minutes I tried using pallet wood for kindling. Realized it was impossible to get the nails out, so used a chainsaw to cut out the parts with nails and threw them in the trash.Speaking of pallet uses...
what methods do folks use to tear pallets apart and still have useable material? I have cut the nails, used a hammer and nail bar and also just busted them apart with a sledge. All 3 work but are very time consuming. Anyone got a slicker trick?
