Cleaning MMM Deck

Took the MMM off the BX for the season today. To tell you the truth, the underside of the deck had not been cleaned since we got the tractor. So, after dismounting the mower, I hoisted it up with the FEL and gave it a good cleaning top and bottom.

Nice job. I bought an angled tip for my pressure washer. It does a pretty good job. You still have to bend over to see how good your doin. Getting it up eye level looks like the way to go.:thumbsup:

Nice job. I did mine with a power washer and followed up with spraying it with WD-40 for the winter.
Do you have any idea what the purpose is for the piece of bar stock that's bolted to front leading edge underneath? I cant think of a reason it's there.

Might as well touch up the edge of those blades while it's off.

And since I got my mower used and that guide wheel was bent in and down, I wondered if I was missing that piece because it had been beat up so badly (my mower height control had also been broken loose off the frame.)

I have no idea. I never noticed it before you pointed it out...
