ck30 loader float detent won't engage

/ ck30 loader float detent won't engage #2
That's a common problem with all float detents of every make. Often it is easy to fix.

Look at the loader control valve. The valve spool with the longer end cap is the one that contains the detent mechanism. That end cap has a vent which can let dirt and water in & corrodes the detent ball and spring. The common cure is to take off that end cap and clean things up.
Be careful not to loose the spring and detent ball when you slide the end cap off.

The detent cap is probably worn out or sticking, its easily replaced.
You should not have to worry about losing the spring or detent balls as they are firmly attached to each piece. (rScotty might be thinking of a different style detent used in some rear remote setups).

The new detent cap is part number XCAP210725, or 36001-0043 both the same part, except the first number is made by Walvoil, the second number is a Korean copy.
